Day Nine: Dead Presidents

Today was a light day. We visited George, Tom, Teddy, and Abe. I think a person could probably spend the entire day at Mt. Rushmore. We got our National Park Passport stamps at the visitor center and at the sculptor's studio, took a few pictures and had some TJ Vanilla ice cream. TJ is for Thomas Jefferson since, apparently, they use TJ's orignial vanilla ice cream recipe to make it. I have no idea where ol' TJ came up with the ice for making his ice cream unless it was a treat for the winter months rather than the summer...

We also spent some time working on our Junior Ranger badges...

It was a long hard couple of days, so after lunch and ice cream we came back to the campsite, relaxed, played, and grilled some steaks for dinner with Uncle Larry and Aunt Pat. Tomorrow We begin our journey eastward.
